tbh for the popstar chart, i'd put chappell roan somewhere close to beyonce, probably leaning towards performer. her whole thing is being this iconic drag queen character and creating a powerful and fun show to watch, as well as having an INSANELY amazing voice. the character of chappell roan is this sassy, iconic, queer diva and you could honestly make a video solely on her.

I would put Sabrina further towards the vocalist side. Y’all need to watch her acapella choir version of her song Sue Me to fully understand

Spoilers for the new mean girls: it was BAD so much worse than the first one and Regina just instead of giving off “sweet girl who turns out to be evil” she ends up just seeming more evil and mean and Cady just seems so soulless like i can’t see the transition between good girl and mean girl. The entire film felt somewhat rushed as well as bad camera angles

I've never seen Tangled before. I didn't have a chance to watch it as a boy in Nigeria but i have got to rectify that mistake. The story sounds amazing qnd it genuinely looks like the only Disney post-2D animated novie that maintains great storytelling, world building, and characterization. I need to see it as i have been largely jaded to care for most Disney fare these days.

I know you kind of touched on it, but something else I love is that it challenges the common trope of the era where the main (female) character has to change or have some kind of makeover to grow and ‘win’. From the intro to the end of the movie Elle exists authentically as herself. She is her strongest when she remains true to the vision we are presented in the intro sequence.

Oh my gosh I love Tangled so much. It’s such a beautiful movie both visually and cinematically

i just realized why wish was so… UGLY. it literally looks like a video game. the 2d/3d animation style is not new by any means-take a look at games like genshin impact, and even he anime skins in fortnite. the characters in the movie are animated like a video game cut-scene😭

Tangled came out near my 4th birthday. Rupunzle was always my favourite story and Tangled has always meant so much to me.

Ugh, I wanted to watch this video and enjoy it - but for you to share a LOT of Rue's bad traits while not highlighting all of the problematic things Jules did, seemed really unfair/biased 🙃 For instance, Jules drinks around Rue (who was a known addict) & then gets mad at Rue for drinking, which was disgusting and really unfair of her. Jules also left town and essentially cheated on Rue and then bragged about it to Rue. Jules also kept trying to change Rue's looks, decisions, etc. Jules also cheated on Rue AGAIN with Elliot. Jules also played Rue multiple times and was NOT there for her. Rue is no angel, which you highlighted, but it didn't feel like you gave Jules the same treatment. This happens a lot from Euphoria fans - Jules is treated as someone who never does anything wrong, or if she does, it's barely talked about, meanwhile those same people will continue to speak really negatively of Rue whenever they can. Disappointing tbh.

This movie upset me personally because with how trash the movie is and then giving such light to a brown character feels very just disingenuous

The art of their music video is just impressive to say the least Their whole visual identity will make u invested in the meanings and details . I do hope you make a video about them in the future but take yr time to enjoy them first .

What's funny when talking about the wishes is that Disney already had another property that visualized magic wishes in a unique and colorful way, and that was Star Darlings. Right down to the fact that the wishes are kept in a stronghold until they're ready to be granted. They're honestly so gorgeous and different from each other, it really pales in comparison to the budget Inside Out memories we had in Wish.

i love tangled so much, my native language german (which rapunzel is set in, it’s a fairytale collected by the brothers Grimm) also did a good job of dubbing :). I think this and Snow White and Bambi (though not a fairy tale) are my favorite adaptions (unintentionally they’re also all from germany speaking countries which makes me happy of our fairytales, as well as Felix Salten‘s Bambi)

ye bc her songs are like drake's they are generalizations not the pinicle of a sub genre of music. they arent like like poppy's concert with bad omens or knocked loose or something where everyone who loves the sub genre takes note.

The biggest mistake made by the production company including director of the Movie Mean Girl musical 2024 is that they didn't search for talented singers from Broadway musical or actors or actresses like Ryan Gosling and Ariana Grande who had experience in broadway musical acting for example.

Ngl, I am so happy that Madison is getting her flowers when it comes to MVs because she really has that clink when it comes to visual storytelling. I love love MVs which having something that keeps your mind moving and feed the imaginative space inside your head, rather than a 3 minute ass shaking and fake money being thrown at the camera. I was expecting Rue to be kidnapped all the way until the last scene in season 2 but I guess the writers forgot they created the ex teacher lady other than to use her as a scapegoat for Mouse’s death.

i really loved this video and how it broke down each music video. the meanings behind music videos have slowly become more shallow and meaningless, so i appreciate madison’s ability to make good music videos.
